There’s a new product making it’s way to homeowners everywhere, and it’s called Blink | Blinds + Glass. This new product is a game changer. It is the next generation of blinds that are in-between the glass panels creating the ultimate blinds solution for all of your glass doors and windows. Let’s take a quick look.
Blink | Blinds + Glass, Enclosed Blinds, and Add-On Blinds are all blinds that are sealed inside the glass panels. Traditionally, blinds have been on the outside of the glass, usually hung on a door frame or window frame to generate some control on your privacy levels. These blinds are already inside the glass!
To control the blinds, there is an operator attached to the outside of the interior glass panel. By slightly moving the operator up and down, you can tilt the blinds to the exact angle you need for the right level of sunlight and privacy. Also, by sliding the operator up and down, you can raise and lower the blinds completely to get them out of the way when you don’t need them.
Pretty neat, eh?
We think so. Because by taking the blinds and enclosing them inside the glass, we are gaining a ton of benefits over traditional blinds without losing our control on our privacy. So let’s take a look at some of the benefits of having blinds in between glass.
• Out of the way!
Let’s be real, traditional blinds are in the way. Opening and closing doors and windows that have blinds is inconvenient. You’re trying to work around the blinds, they’re getting slammed, bent, and whipped around trying to operate your door or window, and this causes problems. Eventually, they blinds start breaking from all the wear and tear. Now you’ve got to either fix them or replace them, taking more time and money.
• Maintenance Free
Since they are not exposed and not getting all the wear and tear as described in the point above, there’s no need to ever have to repair or replace the blinds. The blinds are enclosed which prevents any damage for normal everyday use.
• Child and Pet Friendly
Since the blinds are sealed, so are all the mechanics that make them go up and down. That means no strings or cords for children or pets to play with. That means it’s safer for homes with pets and children – a huge benefit for having your blinds enclosed.
• No cleaning
Have you ever tried to dust blinds? It’s the worst! Having blinds sealed inside the glass panels prevents them from getting dirty. So now you don’t have to worry about trying to keep them clean all the time. You also get easier access to wiping down the glass itself without having the work around the blinds.
• Window Treatments
Now that your blinds are in between the glass, you don’t have to hang blinds on the frames. That means you’re not drilling holes in your frames / drywall to hang blinds. It also means you’re opening yourself up for other window treatment ideas to make your home unique. Since the blinds are not there, maybe there’s something else you’d like to try?
